Interior Design Associates, a downtown Nashville award-winning interior design firm, is looking for a self-motivated and technically-proficient Interior Design Assistant for our Finishes and FF&E group. This will be an hourly, entry-level position with the potential of turning into a salaried position depending on the chosen candidate's work performance.

The chosen candidate will work with our staff interior designers to perform the following tasks:

1. Assist with preparation for client presentations by ordering finish and fabric samples, and daily expediting of those orders to ensure the samples arrive prior to the presentation date.
2. Create and edit large-scale PowerPoint and PDF files that accompany concept, design, furniture, and artwork presentations.
3. Communicate with manufacturers / sales reps to request product information (i.e. detailed specs, pricing, stock, etc.)
4. CAD drawing production and editing work inclusive of furniture plans, finish plans, extents of floor finish plans, and finish schedules.
5. Select and make reselections for FF&E as needed.
6. Assist with FF&E specifications.
7. Other design-related tasks as they arise on a daily basis

Candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration of being interviewed:

• Must reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States

• Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Interior Design

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, release 2020 or higher, and currently working with AutoCAD and Revit. 

• Proficient with the Office suite of programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Candidate should be highly creative and have strong design skills with finishes, fabrics, and furniture (can be shown through your portfolio)

• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written format

• Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to work well under pressure (i.e. must be a multi-tasker)

• Must have positive / friendly attitude and be team-oriented
