Venture Legal Counsel Pantera Capital is the first institutional investment firm focused exclusively on bitcoin, other digital currencies, and companies in the blockchain tech ecosystem. Pantera launched the first cryptocurrency fund in the United States when bitcoin was at $65 /BTC in 2013. The firm subsequently launched the first exclusively-blockchain venture fund. In 2017, Pantera was the first firm to offer an early-stage token fund. Pantera manages $5.0bn across three strategies – passive, hedge, and venture – exclusively focused on bitcoin, other digital currencies, and companies in the blockchain tech ecosystem. Pantera is hiring an experienced venture lawyer to join our blockchain investment fund as in-house counsel. In this role, you will work closely with our investment team to execute venture equity and token investments in frontier technology companies. You will be responsible for handling the legal aspects of deal execution, portfolio management, and supporting our growing portfolio of over 200 companies. Responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate term sheets, investment agreements, and other transaction documents for both equity and token investments. Structure and manage the legal aspects of investment deals across various stages and jurisdictions. Provide guidance on regulatory compliance related to blockchain and cryptocurrency investments Support portfolio companies with legal advice on financings, corporate governance, and strategic transactions. Collaborate with external counsel on complex legal matters. Advise on token rights, lockups, vesting schedules, and other token-specific terms. Conduct legal due diligence on potential investments. Develop and maintain standardized legal documentation for the fund. Stay current on evolving regulatory frameworks affecting blockchain technology and crypto assets. Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience working in ECVC at a leading law firm. Strong understanding of venture capital financing structures and documentation. Experience with warrants, SAFEs, and other innovative investment vehicles. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Willingness to learn and stay updated on evolving regulatory landscapes. Blockchain/cryptocurrency experience preferred but not required. *Compensation range is provided as an estimate and will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
